Hydrogen has "selective antioxidant" properties, meaning it selectively neutralizes toxic free radicals (such as hydroxyl radicals) in the human body while having no effect on beneficial free radicals. This can alleviate oxidative stress, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effects.
